Sm@rtline Data Cockpit (SDC), a test equipment data integration management solution.

Sm@rtline Data Cockpit is a middleware solution that collects test data from various integration methods at the quality testing site and integrates it with higher-level systems. It also provides electronic records and electronic signatures that comply with DI (Data Integrity) requirements.

Overview

SDC is a middleware solution developed by AGU GmbH in Germany that seamlessly connects test equipment and higher-level systems in quality testing environments.
A vast driver library supporting various communication protocols minimizes new development, centralizes data management, and creates a consistent data structure. Furthermore, consolidating the interfaces between devices and higher-level systems into the SDC minimizes verification and maintenance costs. High reliability, supporting GxP and DI, is also ensured, enabling the entire process from data collection to visualization.

function

  • Device data integration
It features connection drivers compatible with a wide variety of devices (PLCs, sensors, analytical instruments, etc.). It establishes communication while utilizing existing equipment, absorbing differences in communication protocols (file, OPC-UA, RS-232C, etc.).
  • Data Strategy
It converts various raw data output from each device into a consistent data structure suitable for use in higher-level systems. It can also synchronize timestamps and control judgments and alerts based on standard values.
  • System Integration Hub
It supports interfaces such as REST API and XML, and seamlessly exchanges data with ERP systems like SAP, LIMS (Test Information Management Systems), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and ELN (Electronic Lab Notebooks).
  • Visualization of equipment status
The dashboard function allows you to monitor the operating status of the equipment and the status of tests.

Features

  • Extensive connection track record
By leveraging a vast driver library accumulated through implementation experience worldwide, new development can be minimized, enabling rapid system deployment.
  • Licenses are based on the number of connected devices and the functions used.
No user licenses are required, and SDC usage is not restricted by the number of users. Licenses are used for the number of connected devices and for feature expansion (such as higher-level integration).
  • Brand and implementation track record
Born in Germany, a pioneer of Industry 4.0, and compliant with GxP standards, it is also used by 25 of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.

Benefits

  • Improving the speed of implementation
By utilizing the driver library, development time for device connections is reduced, significantly shortening the time to system operation. It supports common interfaces and can connect smoothly to higher-level systems.
  • Reduction of implementation and operating costs
No user licenses are required, and only the necessary device drivers can be selected and installed, thus avoiding unnecessary costs. Furthermore, by centralizing both the upper and lower-level interfaces through the SDC, a reduction in verification and maintenance costs can be expected.
  • Improved quality and throughput
It supports GxP and DI, enabling data tampering prevention, ensuring reliability, and strengthening product quality assurance. Furthermore, by setting calibration and test standards, it restricts measurement execution and transmission to higher levels, improving the efficiency of testing operations.
