Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter "B-EN-G") concluded a "Cooperation Agreement for DX-related Education" with the Faculty of Design and Data Science at Tokyo City University on September 1, 2026, and has launched a learning program for students of the Faculty of Design and Data Science in the second semester of 2026 (October), using the core business package for the manufacturing industry, "mcframe," as teaching material.
The Faculty of Design and Data Science at Tokyo City University aims to provide students with the opportunity to experience ERP systems used in real-world business and learn about the interconnectedness of business activities while they are still enrolled in the university through this program.
B-EN-G will use the feedback received from students and teachers through this initiative to improve its teaching materials for beginners. Furthermore, B-EN-G will collaborate with educational institutions to expand educational opportunities that allow students to learn the overall picture of core business operations before entering the workforce.

■ Background of the collaboration
In the manufacturing industry, with the promotion of DX (Digital Transformation), there is a growing demand for personnel who understand and can utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems that centrally manage operations such as production, sales, and cost. However, opportunities for students to learn about ERP in a practical setting while still in school are limited, creating a gap between education and practical application.
The Faculty of Design and Data Science at Tokyo City University aims to cultivate "management skills," "analytical skills," and "design skills." Since ERP, which connects all aspects of a company's activities with data, is a subject that allows students to practice these three skills across different areas, the university decided to collaborate with B-EN-G on a learning program.

■Contents of the learning program

  • Learning: Learning through e-learning materials and online follow-up approximately once a month.
  • Evaluation: Taking the mcframe certification exam "MCCP" (Production, Sales, Cost) (the goal is to pass).
  • Reporting Session: Presenting learning outcomes to teachers and B-EN-G employees.
  • Period: October 2026 to May 2027 (planned)

■Comment from Professor Hiroki Okubo, Faculty of Design and Data Science, Tokyo City University
Business activities, particularly in manufacturing, are built upon the interconnectedness of operations such as production, sales, and cost management. This collaboration will allow students to gain practical experience with ERP systems used in real-world applications, systematically learning the link between operations and data. Understanding this overall picture before entering the workforce will form the foundation for the ability to leverage data to identify problems and design solutions. Together with Business Engineering, we will create a practical learning environment.
