Business Engineering Corporation

Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter "B-EN-G") today released version 26.1 of its customizable manufacturing cloud ERP "mcframe X" (hereinafter "mcX").
This update includes new features such as an "update impact assessment function" to reduce the operational burden on the IT department, and an "information sharing platform" to enable smooth information exchange with business partners. Furthermore, we have started providing "FS no Kata," an implementation verification guide that supports short-term and low-cost launch through early feasibility studies (FS) using actual equipment.
Furthermore, the functions we have developed this time are also designed with future integration with AI agents in mind, and mcX will support the promotion of DX in the manufacturing industry through both the expansion of business functions and the utilization of AI.

■Background of Development
B-EN-G focused on the following three themes to facilitate the operation, procurement, and implementation of mcX:

  1. Implementation of an update impact analysis function that supports both customization and updates.
  2. Building an information sharing platform with business partners, leveraging the characteristics of being available in a public environment.
  3. Leveraging the advantages of readily available SaaS, we have developed an implementation verification guide that allows for early determination of suitability.

■Main features of Ver.26.1

Feature 1: Release of "Update Impact Assessment Function" to reduce the operational burden on the IT department.

To help you maximize the benefits of both DX promotion through no-code/low-code development and continuous updates, we have released a feature to investigate the impact of updates on customized areas.

Feature 2. Release of information sharing platform with business partners

With the aim of digitizing order processing, we have built an information sharing platform with our business partners. This release focuses on the ability to check order information for suppliers and download purchase orders and delivery slips, and we plan to expand the functionality in the future.

Feature 3. Fully web-based UI and enhanced basic functions of the cost management module.

The user interface of the cost management module has been revamped to a web UI, unifying the usability across all screens. Furthermore, by expanding its integration capabilities with other systems, the cost management module can now be used as a standalone SaaS solution.
In addition, we have enhanced features such as expanding the scope of the monitoring function, adding API support for the data search function, and expanding the range of Excel reports.

Feature 4. Provision of "FS no Kata," an implementation verification guide using actual equipment.

To help you determine the applicability of mcX early on, we provide "FS no Kata," an implementation verification guide that summarizes the feasibility study (FS) methodology. By verifying business scenarios using actual equipment and data, a highly accurate evaluation can be conducted in a short period of approximately three months. By getting hands-on experience with the actual equipment at an early stage, you can minimize customization and reduce implementation time and costs.

Masahiro BetsuyakuThis release includes not only the web UI for the cost management module, which was planned from the beginning, but also features such as an update impact assessment function and an information sharing platform with business partners, reflecting feedback from our mcX users.
Furthermore, by providing the new guide "FS no Kata," we are challenging ourselves to innovate not only the functionality of the system, but also the implementation process itself.
We are also focusing on the use of generative AI. mcX already has the AI chatbot "ACE" installed, and the API support and web UI improvements we have made this time are important as a foundation for future AI utilization. In the next release, we plan to support AI agents using the generative AI platform "ACE 2.0".

Moving forward, we intend to leverage the advantages of SaaS, which allows us to continuously provide value through updates, and swiftly deliver features and services that contribute to our customers' business transformation. Please look forward to the future evolution of mcX.
