Takemura Manufacturing revamps operations with manufacturing cloud ERP "mcframe X"

As the first company in Japan to adopt this system, we have achieved three transformations: integrated production and sales, cost management, and IT operations.

Business Engineering Corporation

Business Engineering Corporation, Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda, hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G") will today announce an implementation case study of the manufacturing cloud ERP "mcframe X (hereinafter referred to as "mcX")" by Takemura Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, President and CEO: Katsutoshi Takemura, hereinafter referred to as "Takemura Manufacturing"), a manufacturer of antifreeze valves that prevent water pipes from freezing.
Takemura Manufacturing introduced mcX to review its business processes from the perspective of overall optimization rather than improving the efficiency of individual tasks.
We have worked to revamp our management foundation to support sustainable growth by building an integrated production and sales system, strengthening cost management, and migrating to a cloud platform.

Implementation Case Study

■Efforts leading up to the full launch of mcframe X
Takemura Manufacturing began the project in June 2024 and achieved full operation in about a year. During the project, the company standardized its operations to align with mcX's standard processes.
In addition, requirements specific to the company's business characteristics were addressed by utilizing a no-code development platform (Developer Platform) and APIs.
We conducted repeated testing using prototypes from an early stage to maximize the scope of what could be achieved with standard functions. By achieving both "efficiency through standardization" and "flexible response to individual requirements," we were able to achieve full-scale operation in a state where the system could be used effectively.

■Introduction effects

  • Building a business foundation that integrates production and sales, and maintaining appropriate inventory
By aligning operations with mcX's standard processes, the sales and manufacturing departments can work together to establish a system for maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Strengthening cost management infrastructure to speed up management decisions
By inputting actual results in real time at the manufacturing site and optimizing BOM configuration, we have created a system that can grasp the cost price by product. We have created an environment where information necessary for management decisions can be grasped in a timely manner.
  • Reduce IT operational burden and achieve continuous system evolution
By migrating to a cloud platform, the burden of infrastructure management and system monitoring by the information systems department is reduced. Regular updates create an environment where new functions can be incorporated and business improvements can continue even after the system goes live.

Takemura Manufacturing Co., Ltd. President and CEO | Mr. Katsutoshi Takemura

Mr. Katsutoshi TakemuraThis project, which began with the renewal of our core systems, was an initiative aimed at creating a culture and foundation for our company to continue to transform, including our business processes. As we worked together with Kissei Comtec and B-EN-G, we saw an attitude emerge in which the field staff thought for themselves, communicated, and acted independently, and we believe that this accumulation led to the operation going ahead as planned. As we make use of mcframe X, which continues to evolve as a SaaS, we ourselves will continue to move forward without stopping our transformation.

■Kissei Comtec Project Manager | Keiko Suga

Ms. Keiko SugaWe have been working with Takemura Manufacturing for many years, since the days of mcframe CS, and in this project they clearly positioned the system implementation as a means of business transformation, working together as a team from management to the field. It was only thanks to everyone's proactive efforts that we were able to achieve the planned operation. We will continue to support Takemura Manufacturing's further growth through the use of mcX.

■Business Engineering Project Leader | Tomoyuki Takahashi

Mr. Tomoyuki TakahashiAs the first mcframe X project in Japan, we were able to create a new implementation format together with Takemura Manufacturing. The project was driven by users and prototypes, with requests for improvements from the field being reflected in updates. This project gave us a real sense of the value creation that can only be achieved with SaaS. Going live is not the goal, but the start. Together with mcX, we will support Takemura Manufacturing's ongoing transformation.
