■Background to the adoption of Business b-ridge
When Murata Machinery was revamping its old core system, which had been developed from scratch, they found it difficult to replace the export business management system that was inherent in the old system using an ERP package. Reconstructing the system outside of ERP presented the following challenges, and they adopted Business b-ridge as a solution to resolve these.

• The company's information systems department lacked resources for system development and maintenance.
• It was necessary to ensure the maintainability of the system while reflecting the requirements of multiple business divisions with different business models.

By revamping its export business system using Business b-ridge, Murata Machinery achieved the following benefits:

• Automate data integration across multiple systems and departments, eliminating manual transcription and eliminating wait times and errors for business personnel.
• By visualizing the work situation, it is possible to smoothly balance the workload among staff members and manage progress.
• Each division achieved significant improvements in work efficiency, including a roughly 40% reduction in man-hours in parts-related work processes in the Textile Machinery Division.
• Strengthened in-house IT knowledge through full-scale system development experience in collaboration with external vendors
