New Year's Greetings from Masakazu Haneda, President and Representative Director (summary)

Business Engineering Corporation
Representative: Masakazu Haneda, President and CEO

Last year was a year of great change in the political and economic world both domestically and internationally. The global situation also became increasingly tense, and corporate management continued to face uncertainties. Despite this, the year saw an increase in the number of companies steadily moving forward with digitalization initiatives, and a strong desire for change was evident.

As the introduction of core business systems as a digital infrastructure progresses, the application of AI to various business processes is also gaining momentum. How we perceive and approach AI is a particularly important theme that will greatly influence the future competitiveness of many companies, not just our company.
We are a company that supports our customers in their digital transformation through products and services in the areas of supply chain and accounting. How will existing solutions such as ERP (package systems and SaaS) change in the future with the rise of AI?
Now, this is just my opinion, but I think that in the future package systems such as ERP and AI will become intricately intertwined, with division of labor and selection proceeding. Package systems will continue to handle processes that require "precision," "speed," and know-how for specific industries, while AI will handle processes that require "flexibility" or that handle "diverse UIs and unstructured data."
In any case, I believe that the trend toward digitalization and the introduction of AI will continue irreversibly.

Accurate data is essential for AI, and while the "introduction of AI based on digitalization" has already begun, the more digitalization progresses, the greater the role that AI will play. Currently, there are high expectations for AI to reduce costs, improve quality, and expand capabilities, but efforts toward changes in the products and services provided and digital transformation (creating new value and transforming business models) will likely continue for many years to come.

As our customers embark on this long and arduous journey of digitalization and AI, we are determined to "stand by them all the way to the future," as stated in our brand statement, and we would like to continue to support them as their partner in becoming "creative businesses."
