Fine Today Industries quickly renews its core system with mcframe 7

System implementation time cut in half through thorough "Fit to Standard" approach

Business Engineering Corporation

Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda, hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G") is pleased to announce that Fine Today Industries Co., Ltd. (Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture, CEO: Hiroto Morozumi, hereinafter referred to as "FTI") has completed the implementation of mcframe 7 within one year.
Aiming to maximize effectiveness while minimizing deadlines and costs, FTI selected mcframe 7 as its core system, which has a proven track record of implementation in the Japanese manufacturing industry. To thoroughly implement the "Fit to Standard" policy during implementation, the company collaborated with Fine Today Co., Ltd. and promoted proactive activities by internal stakeholders, as well as with Kissei Comtec Co., Ltd., an implementation partner with extensive knowledge of mcframe 7 specifications and usage know-how. By utilizing standard functions, stable operation was achieved while minimizing customization.

■Issues before implementation

  • Constraints on short-term implementation: Need to complete core system implementation within one year due to transition to a new system
  • System complexity and dependency on individual staff: Static business processes and scattered data in the existing system (300 SQL scripts operated by individual staff)
  • Operational costs and resource constraints: The need to build a system infrastructure that can handle stable operations and future business growth with limited budgets and resources

■Introduction effects

  • Achieved short-term implementation: The system was operational in one year, and the hypercare period (intensive support period after operation) was shortened by half a month compared to the plan.
  • System standardization and efficiency: Centralized management of dispersed data. Create an environment that makes it easy to obtain and utilize data.
  • Operational cost optimization: Realizing a cost-effective system that meets cost constraints
  • Improved organizational capabilities: Through the project, the perspectives, eyes, and viewpoints of those involved are improved, leading to growth for both individuals and the organization.
