Toyo Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda, hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G") announced today that the "LIPE LOSS TEMPLATE," developed by its overseas group company, Toyo Business Engineering (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G Thailand"), has won the Development Award at the 2024 TPM Excellent Product Awards hosted by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, a public interest incorporated association.

■About LIPE LOSS TEMPLATE
"LIPE LOSS TEMPLATE" is a tool that strongly supports the promotion of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities at manufacturing sites and visualizes OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) in real time. This tool reflects the expertise of Lean MONOZUKURI Network Japan, a general incorporated association. B-EN-G Thailand also works with the organization to develop educational content and provide technical guidance, and has provided training to more than 500 people in multiple countries, mainly Thailand. It is currently being introduced in multiple companies in Thailand and Indonesia, contributing to on-site improvement activities.

■Reason for Award

The following points were highly evaluated during the review:

1. Based on the concept of PM (Productive Maintenance), the system is designed to analyze operational data to identify causes and issues of the eight major losses, calculate OEE, etc., and is specialized for digital transformation of daily operations.

2. It is a cloud service, so it is possible to start small, and it offers the flexibility of being gradually introduced by simply installing two sensors.

3. By calculating OEE sequentially based on cycle time data in real time, it is possible to realize quick decision-making and accelerate the improvement cycle.

4. During the implementation and operation, training is provided to develop knowledge of OEE and the ability to analyze on-site conditions from the obtained data.
