Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda, hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G") is pleased to announce that it has obtained limited assurance from Socotec Certification Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sokotec") regarding the validity of "mcframe 7 CFP Ver.7.0.3", a calculation system for calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per product in CO2 equivalent (Carbon Footprint: CFP).

In recent years, efforts toward decarbonization have been accelerating in the Japanese manufacturing industry. As part of this, the need for CFP calculation and disclosure is increasing, while ensuring the reliability of the calculation results is an important issue. In light of this situation, B-EN-G requested Socotec to verify the validity of mcframe 7 CFP Ver.7.0.3, based on the criteria of "Pathfinder Framework (WBCSD)" and "CFP Guidelines (Ministry of the Environment)".
Socotec conducted an examination based on "JIS Q 14064-3:2023 (ISO 14064-3:2019)" and determined that the mcframe 7 CFP Ver.7.0.3 calculation system complies with the relevant criteria, confirming its validity.
