Japan Automatic Machine Co., Ltd. (Head office: Ota-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masafumi Mizuno; hereinafter "JAM") and Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter "B-EN-G") announce that they will begin selling a fully automatic terminal crimping machine incorporating B-EN-G's operation monitoring system from the end of January 2025. This product is a groundbreaking solution that makes it easy for wire processing manufacturers to acquire and analyze equipment operation data, leading to improved productivity through predictive maintenance of equipment and optimal employee allocation.
Prior to that, JAM will be exhibiting at the 39th INTERNEPCON JAPAN, an electronics manufacturing and packaging technology exhibition to be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from Wednesday, January 22nd to Friday, January 24th, 2025, and will be demonstrating the product.
■ Exhibition details for the 39th Internepcon Japan
Date and time: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 - Friday, January 24, 2025
Venue: Tokyo Big Sight, East Hall 1, Booth No.: E7-42
■ Overview of the solution provided: "Operation Data Monitoring System"
Equipped with a new function, the "operational data monitoring system," the fully automatic terminal crimping machine records operation data on the cloud using a built-in transmitter. By checking this data via a web browser on a PC or tablet, the system provides a mechanism for production line managers to efficiently and quickly grasp the operating status.
The system for acquiring the transmitted data and displaying the analytical data on the browser is the operation monitoring system mcframe SIGNAL CHAIN, which was developed by B-EN-G and has been on the market since 2014.

■ Challenges facing the manufacturing industry and the value provided by this product
There is a serious labor shortage in manufacturing sites, and cases where one worker manages multiple machines are on the rise. Under these circumstances, there is a demand for a system that can accurately grasp the operating status of the machine without always being near the machine. In addition, with conventional management methods, the machine's operating data is not fully utilized, and efficiency and improvements remain an extension of the past, making it difficult to create new ideas.
This product offers the following solutions to these challenges:
-
Improved productivity: Real-time monitoring of operation data detects machine anomalies and minimizes production downtime due to breakdowns
-
Improved work environment: Employees no longer need to be tied to machines, supporting flexible work styles
-
Contributing to sustainability: Reducing the number of defective products through analysis of operational data, and reducing the environmental impact of wasted energy and resources
JAM will incorporate mcframe SIGNAL CHAIN into its fully automatic terminal crimping machines and provide them to customers, allowing the accumulated operational data to be used to improve services such as after-sales maintenance. In addition, the data will be used in future product development, providing long-term value.
