Through the COVID-19 pandemic, even Japanese companies that were said to be lagging behind in IT have come to recognize the importance of digitalization, and we are increasingly seeing strong desire from customers to transform. The introduction and replacement of core systems as digital infrastructure is progressing, and efforts have begun to apply AI to various business processes through continued trial and error. From now on, categorizations such as "Japanese manufacturing" and the "automotive industry" will become less meaningful, and we will likely see a polarization between companies that proactively tackle digitalization and survive, and companies that are left behind and eliminated.

They are implementing "digitalization for efficiency" as the foundation of their business, and promoting "digitalization to enhance competitive advantage" using the latest IT technology. Furthermore, they are beginning a long journey to achieve true "digital transformation (DX)" that will transform the business model itself through these efforts.
