Promoting digitalization of purchasing operations by utilizing automatic accounting using AI-OCR

Business Engineering Corporation

Business Engineering Corporation, Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter referred to as "B-EN-G") and First Accounting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Keitaro Mori; hereinafter referred to as "First Accounting") announce that they have entered into a partnership agreement on December 9, 2024.
Through this collaboration, B-EN-G and First Accounting will combine their respective knowledge, know-how, and product technologies to aim to improve efficiency and promote data utilization in corporate purchasing operations.

■Background
Even for users who have already implemented the purchasing operation digitalization tool "SAP Ariba," it is unavoidable that paper invoices will be sent from business partners. In such cases, manual input into the system is required, which entails the risk of work, errors, and processing delays. To solve this problem, B-EN-G will work with First Accounting, which has strengths in developing AI specialized for accounting operations and OCR technology, to work on realizing seamless integration from invoice digitalization to SAP Ariba.

■Strengths of both companies and future plans
Since starting its SAP ERP implementation business as Japan's first SAP partner in 1991, B-EN-G has boasted one of the best track records in Japan in implementing not only core systems but also SAP Ariba and other systems.
Meanwhile, First Accounting's cloud service "Remota," which implements AI specialized for accounting work, was registered on the SAP Store in July of this year, accelerating the provision of services to SAP users.
Through this partnership, the two companies will combine B-EN-G's consulting capabilities with First Accounting's product technology to contribute to improving the efficiency of customers' operations and utilizing data. As a first step, they have begun developing a partnership between Remota and SAP Ariba.

■Comment from B-EN-G
We are very pleased to have signed a partnership agreement with First Accounting, a leader in accounting-specific AI. Through this collaboration, we aim to further promote the use of SAP Ariba and together support our customers in promoting digital transformation and creating new value.
(Atsushi Nakano, Managing Director and Head of Solutions Business Division)
