Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter "B-EN-G") is pleased to announce that Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; President and CEO: Ichiro Kashitani; hereinafter "Toyota Tsusho") has built an export business system using B-EN-G's "Business b-ridge", a business system construction tool, and further promoted DX by expanding the scope of use with its own resources.

Toyota Tsusho operates through seven sales divisions: Metals, Global Parts and Logistics, Mobility, Machinery, Energy and Plant Projects, Chemicals and Electronics, Food and Lifestyle Industries, and Africa Headquarters. The newly introduced Global Parts and Logistics Division is building a global parts supply chain by making full use of bases and logistics networks around the world and establishing an optimal integrated logistics system for automotive parts.
The company has recently adopted Business b-ridge, a business system construction tool, in order to solve issues such as individualization caused by complex and diverse business processes in product export operations, and the resulting inefficiency. .

■Problems before implementation
Toyota Tsusho faced the following problems.

• The required documents and business processes differ for each economic partnership agreement, such as FTA (*1) and EPA (*2), and management has become individualized.
• As each application was communicated via email and Excel, no one other than the person in charge could understand the work details or progress status.
• Each department had different documents and work methods, so when there was a personnel change, I had to learn the work from scratch.

*1: FTA: Free Trade Agreement is an agreement to ease tariffs and regulations that occur in transactions between countries and regions, and to promote the expansion of trade in goods and services.
*2: EPA...Economic Partnership Agreement is an agreement that includes a wide range of issues such as investment and intellectual property rights in addition to FTA.

■Priority of initiatives
In response to the promotion of digital transformation in the Global Parts & Logistics Division and the entry into force of the new Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) (*3), we focused on the following areas:

• Aiming for rapid systemization, we chose to build a business system using a no-code tool
• Check the prototype and confirm whether complex operations can be systemized before implementation
• Introduced with a view to building and operating a business system using in-house resources in the future.

*3: RCEP...Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is an economic partnership agreement that creates a free trade zone made up of member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including Japan.

By introducing Business b-ridge, we were able to achieve the following:

• Realizes unified management of related documents
• Utilize knowledge of no-code development to systemize other operations
