FCC becomes the first overseas manufacturing base to introduce a production management package

(FCC), which manufactures and sells clutches for automobiles and motorcycles globally. )'s Chinese base, Foshan Fuji Integration Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Masashi Tanigawa), has introduced a production management system based on the automotive industry template of the ERP package "mcframe." B-EN-G's Chinese subsidiary (B-EN-G Shanghai) provided development and implementation support for the template. The first version of this template was released by B-EN-G Shanghai in 2018, and since then it has been revised repeatedly in response to customer requests, and in the case of FCC Foshan, which is the fourth company to apply it, the template was used as a production planning/purchasing planning project. Foshan Fuji Integration Co., Ltd. mainly manufactures four-wheel clutches for Honda vehicles in the Chinese market. In China, an automobile superpower, auto parts manufacturers are located near finished car manufacturers, and efficient productivity is required. Furthermore, as the country is an advanced EV country and local manufacturers are also emerging, we have developed a B-EN-G Shanghai template that can properly understand local needs and provide speedy delivery in order to further improve productivity. ■Solving issues before implementation
The issues that were set before the start of the project were smoothly resolved by using mcframe's templates for the automotive industry.
- Avoiding human errors: Many manual processes are involved in the manufacturing process, which is inefficient and can lead to human errors, so improvements to the business system were desired.
- Breaking away from individualized work: Various data (master information, production capacity, inventory information) could only be kept up-to-date by specific personnel, which caused many problems, including in terms of internal control.
- Building a system with local staff: In order to aim for the future development of the group, it was necessary to aim for base management by local staff. The same can be said for the system, and we aimed to build a system that would allow local staff alone to utilize and operate the system.
After introducing the system, work efficiency increased and we were able to reduce indirect man-hours by approximately 9 hours per day. In addition, we were able to improve personalization and internal controls, and establish a system operational structure.

Data that was previously managed separately for production management and performance management is now connected in one system, and everyone can always view accurate and up-to-date data.
Despite providing remote support from the Information Systems Department in Japan, the system was implemented on schedule and on budget, making it a successful example that will serve as a model for system implementation at overseas locations in the future.
