■Points for introducing mcframe
Milbon has decided to introduce a production management system when establishing a new factory in China in 2021, which will be the company's second overseas base after Thailand. In cooperation with B-EN-G Thailand, the B-EN-G head office worked with Milbon's information planning department to define requirements in Japan based on the specifications and requirements of the mcframe introduced at the Milbon Thailand factory. In parallel, B-EN-G Shanghai carried out installation and construction work in collaboration with Milbon's China factory, brought the mcframe into operation in stages from the test production phase to obtain a production permit, and also had local staff operate the mcframe. Proceeded with method training. At the Milbon head office, a person who had experience implementing the system at the Thai factory handed over the mcframe system construction know-how to the members of the company's system implementation project at the company's China base. The development process was carried out in a ``remote (remote + local)'' manner, with domestic bases in China collaborating with each other, and between domestic and overseas bases. Furthermore, by collaborating between B-EN-G Shanghai, B-EN-G Thailand, and B-EN-G Head Office, we can minimize the burden on users and the number of man-hours, including business trips from Japan to the site. We provided support for a smooth implementation even during the coronavirus pandemic.

■Introduction effects

  • Smooth communication of inventory information and production orders by linking with weighing systems, label issuing systems, etc.
  • MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reduces waste of raw materials
  • Achieve appropriate management and reporting of quality, raw material, and materials information
  • Able to meet quality control requirements and strict audits required by the Chinese government

■Comments from customer project members
Although this was our first time implementing a production management system, the person in charge at B-EN-G Shanghai was able to proceed with the discussion based on our understanding and cooperate with each system. Additionally, we were able to bridge the gap between our Chinese factory and the head office, carefully consider changes to specifications, and were able to release the product on schedule. Even the smallest questions were answered quickly via chat. In operation, we are working to improve efficiency by adding new question-and-answer items ourselves, based on the online operating manual provided by us.
In addition, we were actually contacted on the same day to conduct a government audit, but we were able to handle it without any difficulty as mcframe allows us to comprehensively manage the entire process from purchasing to production to shipping.
In China, there are many cases where entire factories are systemized, so we plan to consider introducing and linking mcframe with other systems, such as quality control systems and WMS (warehouse management systems).
