Business Engineering Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Haneda; hereinafter "B-EN-G") is pleased to announce that its "PGI (Strengthening Procurement Governance) Project" for LSI Medience Corporation won the "Project Award" at the "SAP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2024" sponsored by SAP Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Suzuki; hereinafter "SAP"). B-EN-G has won the SAP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE more than 20 times in the past.

■Reason for Award
​ ​The company was highly evaluated for making the most of the know-how it has accumulated through implementing SAP Ariba in over 20 companies, fully understanding its customers' needs and contributing to the transformation of procurement operations despite the strict constraints of budget, time, and human resources.

■ About the "PGI (Procurement Governance Strengthening) Project"
​ ​Previously, most of the processes required for purchasing control at LSI Medience Corporation were carried out offline, and the system did not serve as a tool to support purchasing control. Therefore, the company decided to introduce SAP Ariba in order to strengthen compliance in procurement activities, reduce costs, and improve business efficiency.
When selecting an implementation partner, they compared multiple companies and selected B-EN-G based on their track record of SAP Ariba implementation, their down-to-earth proposals, and the sense of trust they felt through their proposal activities.
By promoting the three-pronged approach of "revising purchasing rules," "system control," and "changing and strengthening the procurement system," we have seen results such as reducing deviations in processes, reducing expenditures, and reducing the amount of work required to make inquiries to the purchasing department.
